Crowdict terms of play

Crowdict is a free browser game about the answers people give. These terms explain how to use the game, share results and participate respectfully. Crowdict and Noillirk have separate brands and share game and account services.

Playing Crowdict

The Daily has ten timed questions. In Crowd, more common valid answers score higher; in Rare, less common valid answers score higher. Unlimited offers 10, 20 or endless questions with Crowd scoring. You may pass, and an unanswered question earns no points.

Scores and accepted answers

Scoring uses prepared game data and estimates of answer popularity, not a live count of players' responses. Answers are placed in bands and some questions have multipliers. The answer list may not contain every valid response; you can report an answer you believe was missed. Scores, titles and rankings are for play and comparison, with no cash value or prize.

Sharing and public names

Anyone with a challenge link may be able to see participants' public names, results and answers during play. Guests use a generated nickname; signed-in players can choose a Profile name for new results. Choose a name appropriate for others to see, and do not impersonate another person or use an offensive name.

Play fairly

Do not disrupt Crowdict, interfere with other players or misrepresent someone else's game or artwork as your own. You may share your own results and invite friends. Runs that do not meet the game's rules can be excluded from public rankings.

Availability and saved progress

Questions, features and presentation may change. An older challenge may no longer open as originally presented if its question set changes. Progress stored in your browser can be lost when you clear site data, change devices or use private browsing.

Updates and questions

We may update these terms as Crowdict evolves. The date above identifies this version. Read the privacy notice for information about data, sharing and your choices. Questions can be sent to hello@crowdict.com.
