Crowdict privacy notice

This notice explains how Crowdict handles information when you play the Daily or Unlimited, join a party, share a challenge, send feedback or choose to sign in. You can play as a guest.

Progress on your device

Your browser stores game progress, results, streak, a guest nickname, settings and device-related display preferences. Your separate game history, including answers and scores, is kept in your browser's IndexedDB. Clearing site data or using a private window can remove it; it does not automatically move to another browser or device.

You can download your personal history from the stats and history page. Signing in does not upload or synchronize the existing local history.

Answers and game sessions

When you play, answers are sent to our game service for checking and scoring. Rejected answers and their questions may be recorded in normalized form with a count so we can review missing answers. The rejected-answer record does not include your nickname or browser game identifier.

When a run is submitted, we may store its answers, score, time and a random browser identifier to support results, challenges and leaderboards. A signed-in run can also be linked privately to your account. Your email address is not displayed on a public board.

Google sign-in

If you sign in with Google, we receive your account identifier, name, email, verification status and profile image URL to recognize your account. Google handles authentication; we do not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail, Drive or contacts. Our authentication service also stores tokens issued during sign-in. Authentication cookies keep you signed in.

Crowdict and Noillirk share game and account services. An account and submitted results may be recognized on both sites, including on shared leaderboards and challenges. Browser cookies and local game history remain specific to each site and device.

Google One Tap may appear on a sign-in or game screen and connects your browser to Google Identity Services. You can dismiss it and continue as a guest. To request account removal, contact hello@crowdict.com from the email associated with the account. Removing the shared account also removes its sign-in access on Noillirk.

Challenges, rooms and public names

A challenge can show participants' nicknames, scores and answers to people with the link. Some fallback challenge links carry game information in the link itself, so share them only with people you trust. Party and room members can see the public names and scores shown in their room.

Guests receive a generated nickname. A signed-in player can choose a public Profile name for new results; previously shared challenges retain their original name. To request removal of a stored run, send its link to hello@crowdict.com.

Suggestions and feedback

Question and stage ratings can include your vote, optional note, answer, stage and random game identifier. Votes for stages, topics or features are stored with a browser game identifier so a later vote can replace an earlier one. Question suggestions are stored without that identifier.

Problem reports can include the issue type, an answer or note, and the optional details shown on the form, such as page, stage, mode, question number, browser, screen size and game version. You can exclude those optional details before sending.

Analytics and return visits

When enabled, our self-hosted Plausible Analytics records visits and game events such as starts, completions, answer bands and use of sharing controls. Event properties describe game activity, not the text you typed or your challenge link. Plausible is configured without cookies and does not store your IP address; it can record information such as referring site, browser, device type and country.

We also use a random browser game identifier to understand returning visits and, at times, compare stage experiences. Activity records do not include your nickname or answers. The return-visit recording honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Clearing site data resets the identifier for future visits; contact us with a result link to request removal of earlier activity.

Advertising and outside services

Crowdict loads Google AdSense on pages other than challenge links. Google and other vendors may use cookies to show ads based on visits to this and other sites. You can manage personalized ads in Google Ads Settings and learn more from Google's information about partner sites.

Our hosting and other service providers receive technical information needed to deliver pages and assets, such as an IP address, browser information and the requested address. If you share a result through another app, that app handles the information under its own policy.

Your choices and contact

You can play without an account, turn sound and music off, use reduced-motion settings, and clear saved data through your browser. You can also manage advertising preferences as described above. For questions about this notice or a removal request, email hello@crowdict.com.
